Chase Credit Services 4-8-09

Chase Credit Card Services HARRASSING the crap out of me because I refuse to pay their late fee of $39. They also jacked up the interest rate to 29.9%! They wouldn't take my payment over the phone or internet and they would not forgive the late fee. My balance was only $28 and now it is $341 in late fees AFTER I told them to close the account in December!! I always paid HALF on my credit cards and never had any large outstanding balances. Now they can kiss my A55. Let them "charge it off". ...

woot woot !!! we’ve told our creditors the same thing and eventually after 4 years they gave up.. REFUSE REFUSE REFUSE their calls and don’t pay a dime! unless you own a home or real assetts they can’t get nothin from ya. They say your credit will go bad but I don’t care and also on a line of credit our banks in canada don’t share that info with credit bureaus any ways.

UPDATE: I’ve since gotten rid of my cell phone. I didnt use it that much…now they can’t call me at all. I have a new phone and guess what… I’m getting calls on my new phone from a bill collector for someone who had the number before me. LOL Oh I tell ya, it’s just too much!

This is hilarious. But I’ve been trying over and over to post this on my facebook profile and it won’t let me. Does Chase own utube too? Has anyone else been successful doing this, if so let me know what I can do different from the other videos. I really want to “share” this one. haha

They can’t skip trace me anymore. I got rid of my cell phone…now they can’t contact me at all. Now I just get collection calls for some other moron on the new cell phone. LOL

they dont call me anymore. my strategy worked. the debt was only under $30 and with their fees it’s now up to over $300…which I refuse to pay. I use cash…I don’t need their stinkin credit.

I hope you know the fair debt collection act only applies towards 3rd party collections, chase is collecting for itself thus not a 3rd party, good luck sueing chase, given 7 calls a day is excessive and I’d consdier it harassment but the debt is owed and they have a right to collect it. Also you will find that if you keep in contact with the bank atleast weekly they won’t call you a milliontimes and picking up the phone and yelling I have no money is not keeping in contact.

You gave that fucking bitch hell good for you.

  10. bellemcky says:

Hi! I am sooo with you! But please be careful, charge offs are no joke. Better to take them to small claims court, rather than deal with that harassing crap.
Note every conversation, note all comments made by them.

  12. delise720 says:

A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural
consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:
    (5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number. DOES THAT ANSWER EVERYONES QUESTION?

  13. delise720 says:

I sent them a registered letter weeks ago telling them to cease calling my phone. And they have.

  14. Angelface112681 says:

Good luck with everything though, calls can be annoying.

  15. Angelface112681 says:

Usually they will skip trace you, and put your number back in their auto dialer and collection calls would probably continue. Charge off happens after 180 days. Also, you can usually send in a written letter for the company not to contact you via phone.

You are obviously a COLLECTOR so of course you are going to SIDE with YOUR KIND. Take a hike…your opinion is not needed or wanted here. And by the way…I DID send them a CERTIFIED letter tellling them to quit calling. I hope you lose YOUR job. Let’s see who’s crying then. LOL

  17. AlSuedeGreen says:

FDCPA has no application to the original creditor. And when you refuse to pay the bill on principal, you raise the odds of all your other bills going up. $39 turns into bigger bills. Oh yeah, and you sign a contract you are expected to live by it. By the way, refusing to give the contact info for the lawyer gives them another reason to call.

  18. NottaVictim says:

Seems I found another way to stop them. The last time they called…3 days ago…of course again at 8 a.m. (the earliest they can call) I picked up the phone and when they said who they were, I said, “Sorry, you’ve got the wrong number”. I haven’t gotten a call since. LOL

  19. terrorterminator says:

It’s fruitless to attempt to have a logical conversation with the credit card lackeys. Therefore…profanity and verbal abuse appears to be the only recourse.
